About Natural Stone Natural stone is a collective name for thousands of different types of stone found and quarried throughout the world. The appearance and the characteristics of natural stone are determined by the manner in which the stone was formed e.g. by rivers, by volcanoes, by tectonic folding (mountains) etc. Each natural stone is unique in itself because no two places on earth have precisely the same geological composition, experience or precisely the same geological forces. This means that natural stone of the same type can also differ widely. For commercial purposes, natural stone is divided into several large groups: * granite * marble * limestone * basalt * slate being the most important

Granite - Marble - Lime stone – slate Granite Granite is the hardest building stone, granite slabs and granite tiles occupy a prominent place among dimensional stones. Due to its hardness, resistance to weathering, capability to take mirror polish, fascinating colours and textural patterns, granite slabs and granite tiles are extremely most popular seen on your kitchen countertop.
Marble
Marble is formed from limestone with heat and pressure over years in the earth's crust. These pressure or forces cause the limestone to change in texture and makeup. The process is called re-crystallisation. Fossilised materials in the limestone form large coarse grains of calcite, ideal for floors, staircases, fireplaces, etc.
Lime stone
Limestone is calcareous sedimentary rocks formed at the bottom of lakes and seas with the accumulation of shells, bones and other calcium rich goods. The organic matter upon wherever it settles either in lakes or seas are preserved as fossils. Over thousands and millions of years, layer after layer is built up adding weight. The heat and pressure causes chemical reaction at the bottom and the sediments turn into solid stone, the limestone which is great for flooring & wall tiles.
Slate
Slates are dense and fine grained rock. The colours of slates are generally grey, red, brown and green, ranging from dark to light. It is produced by the compression of clays, shale, and various other rocks developing a characteristic cleavage consisting Seri cite and quartz with biotite, chlorite, and hematite as principal accessories, used for indoor and outdoor flooring, and also for use as a wall covering.
